Stephen Hill has facilitated many successful groundbreaking projects in downtown Kinston. He certainly has the vision to see potential in abandoned and dilapidated properties. Stephen purchased the Paramount, put on a new roof, then donated the building to our local non profit in hopes of seeing it restored to a working theater for Kinstonians and visitors to enjoy once again. This will be a massive undertaking that will require private donations and business sponsorships. Grant writing is already in progress as well. The smART Kinston City Project Foundation believes that with all of our resources combined, we can have a beautifully restored working theater in our town for live music, acting troupes, comedy, movies and events. How wonderful it will be to see the marquee glowing on Queen Street again. This project will also, no doubt, inspire more investment in our town, and more dreamers to think big!
